The interviews revealed a clear recurring social friction around the topic of “one-night stands”. In particular, many interviewees highlighted the feelings of discomfort that often arise when meeting a one-night-stand partner again in the context of everyday daytime life.
The installation is presented as a series of masks. At first glance, they appear three-dimensional, but are in fact flat. Their design is polished, clean, however, when placed under the light, excerpts from the interviews emerge within the masks, revealing the anonymous stories of the people who were interviewed.
An lightboard on the table invites participants to interact, try on, and read the texts found inside the masks.
